Job Summary
Prepares, assembles, bakes, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors in a hospital setting, following menus and dietary requirements. Adheres to HACCP guidelines, maintains sanitation and cleanliness, labels and stores food and equipment properly, operates a variety of kitchen equipment, and demonstrates strong communication and teamwork. Reads and follows recipes with basic math, works independently when needed, and can stand for extended periods. On-the-job training provided; Serv Safe may be required depending on location; potential drive may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of applicable experience preferred.
