Job Summary
Execute recipes, prepare kitchen spaces, and create delicious, dietary meals for residents following established corporate or Culinary Services Director guidelines. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while ensuring proper sanitization of equipment and adhering to all ServSafe and governmental food safety regulations. Adjust food items to accommodate guest allergies or specific diet concerns, weigh and measure ingredients, and perform cooking tasks including steaming, grilling, baking, and frying. Act as a liaison to front-of-house staff to verify food service temperatures and provide resident feedback for meal recommendations. Work well under pressure within set time limits, promote teamwork, and wow guests with amazing dishes. Schedule includes no late nights.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma / GED, or as required by state regulations
- One (1) year cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting
- Two (2) years cooking experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting
- Completed culinary training/certification
- Vocational training/certification in commercial food preparation
