Job Summary
Prepare meals precisely according to menus and recipes, conducting taste tests before serving. Check food temperatures, document logs, and verify meal tickets to ensure clients receive appropriate diet orders. Serve clients on the food line timely while ensuring proper portion sizes and temperatures. Perform daily inventory checks to secure needed items and complete the evening kitchen checklist, including cleaning and securing freezers and coolers. Requires a current City & State Food Service/Sanitation Certificate and a clean criminal background.
Required Qualifications
- interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information and maintain courteous relationships with clients, families, supervisors and visitors of the facility
- free of a criminal background that is a Disqualifying Offense as defined by the Illinois Department of Public Health
- Current City & State Food Service/Sanitation Certificate
