Job Summary
Cook for an Assisted Living Community (Legacy of Orangeburg) in a Part-Time shift (1PM–6PM). Responsibilities include preparing appetizing foods, ensuring safety and sanitary standards, learning basic tasks, and providing timely service. Requires teamwork and a professional presentation. Maley responsibilities include working in a healthcare/hospitality environment with potential therapeutic diet preparation. Education requirements include a High School diploma or GED and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain). One year of related experience preferred; CPR/First-Aid certifications are preferred. The role emphasizes quality food service in a resident-focused setting and opportunities for growth within the team.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified
- High School diploma or GED accepted
- One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
- Must be 16 years or older. In NC, must be 18 years or older if operating power-driven machines such as a meat slicer, mixer, etc.
