Job Summary
Prepare menu items according to recipes and production procedures while maintaining high food quality and budgeted food costs through portion controls. Provide guest service adhering to Knott's Berry Farm standards, conduct cash handling transactions, and ensure cleanliness and safety in assigned work areas. Monitor operations, paperwork, and equipment maintenance to support optimum efficiency and production. Develop specials, update menu specifications, and consult on restaurant procedures, laws, and emergency issues as needed. This part-time role requires a high school diploma, two years of culinary experience, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 2 years experience in a culinary position
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
- Ability to work effectively and achieve department goals under time constraints and quality pressures
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision
- Ability to take initiative to accomplish daily work tasks
- Ability to accurately compile reports from information provided
- Ability to maintain composure during high-pressure situations
