Job Summary
Part-time Cook at Benchmark Senior Living (The Atrium at Veronica Drive, Danvers, MA). Fridays & Saturdays 1pm-7pm. Primary duties include preparing nutritious meals in accordance with applicable standards and Benchmark policies, operating kitchen equipment (meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, warmer cabinets), establishing a production line to ensure timely meals, representing the community with residents and families, and delivering high-quality, flavorful meals with quality presentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, culinary arts training is preferred, and at least 2 years of dietary experience; must know dietary procedures and related laws/regulations; leadership abilities to supervise staff; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; standing for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of dietary experience
- Knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- This is primarily a standing position, may need to stand in one place for extended periods of time
