Job Summary
Prepares hot and cold foods for patients and retail customers following production sheets and standardized recipes; maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment; documents food safety logs and notifies supervisors of equipment or food preparation problems; trains and relieves other positions as assigned; operates and utilizes kitchen equipment (convection ovens, grills, braisers, fryers); maintains focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in a healthcare nutrition services setting; requires approximately 1 year of food preparation experience and performs duties across AM/PM shifts in a part-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- One year food preparation experience
- Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling techniques
- Preparation of hot food items in large volume
- Proper use of convection ovens, grills, braisers, fryers, etc.
- Creative food garnishing techniques
- Use of equipment to include cook tanks and kettles
- Following standardized recipes for in-house production
