Job Summary
Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements while maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards. Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking, then portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests. Report any maintenance needed for kitchen equipment and consult with the Stand Lead and Concessions Manager to plan menus and estimate consumption. This part-time role at Allegiant Stadium requires working an event-driven schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must demonstrate excellent attendance, possess a valid SNHD Food Handler Safety Card, and be able to operate standard kitchen equipment in both high-heat and cold-weather outdoor environments.
Required Qualifications
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment, including the deep fryer, flattop grill, chargrill, broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to OVG and venue concession operations.
- Ability to consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism
- Ability to work a flexible schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on the events' schedules and business needs.
- Required to possess or obtain a valid Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Food Handler Safety Card
- This role may involve performing physical labor and operational tasks in outdoor environments, regardless of weather conditions.
- The position requires adaptability, endurance, and a commitment to safety while working in both high-heat and cold-weather settings.
