Job Summary
Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and portion control; assist in proper storage of raw and leftover foods; help with daily cleaning duties; follow established safety, sanitation and infection-control policies; maintain clean, safe work areas and properly maintained equipment; monitor menus and diet preferences, and participate in orientation and training activities; assist in inventorying and reporting equipment and supply needs to the Dining Service Director; collaborate with staff to ensure quality food service for residents.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must read, write, speak and understand English
- Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program
- Patience tact enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
- Must have upper body strength adequate to bend, lift, move articles of more than twenty-five pounds
- Must be able to squat, reach, and stretch without distress
- Must be able to tolerate extended periods walking, standing
