Job Summary
Cook - Part-Time 2nd Shift: Prepare and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and established portion control; assist in proper storage of raw and leftovers; help with daily cleaning duties; follow Standard Precautions and infection control policies; maintain clean and safe work areas and proper equipment storage; uphold menu filing and tray inspections; participate in orientation and training; develop good rapport with personnel; assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies; recommend equipment and supply needs to Dining Service Director; must be 21+, English proficient, have prior cooking experience or training, possess physical strength to lift >25 pounds, and be able to squat, reach, and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must read, write, speak and understand English
- Previous experience or completion of appropriate training program
- Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
- Must have upper body strength adequate to bend, lift, shift, move, and/or assist in moving articles of more than twenty-five pounds
- Must be able to squat, reach, and stretch without distress. Must be able to tolerate extended periods walking, standing.
