Job Summary
Prepare lunch and dinner meals according to the weekly menu while managing the dining room for dinner service. Follow safe cooking practices, assist in ordering and receiving food orders, and ensure meals are served in a pleasing and appetizing manner. Clean food preparation areas and equipment, and assist with staff training. Work under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager as part of a kitchen team. This casual position involves 2-4 days a week from 10:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Greystone Manor Retirement Residence in Maple Ridge, B.C.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of one to three years of experience in a fast-paced, professional environment focused on delivering a superior culinary experience
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification
- Positive team player
- Effective communicator
- Interested in working in a professional environment guided by an experienced and passionate Executive Chef
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to lift 20 lbs or less
- Ability to walk for four hours
- Ability to bend or crouch frequently
