Job Summary
The Cook position requires preparation and cooking of orders in a timely manner while controlling food usage to minimize waste. Responsibilities include advising supervisors of low inventory, maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen, and promoting teamwork through coordination with staff. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen, strong communication and mathematical skills, and a good understanding of cooking techniques and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking in a fast paced kitchen line
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Strong communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities
- Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
