Job Summary
Cook needed to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor; responsible for preparing meals for residents in a hospital/long-term care facility, following prepared menus and portion control guides, and preparing special diets accurately. Must record food temperatures, assist with serving meals, and maintain sanitary kitchen conditions. Supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor; requires ServSafe certification and ability to work with diverse staff and residents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a cook in a hospital or long term care facility for not less than one year
- Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate
