Job Summary
Maintain a safe culinary environment using strict infection control procedures, ensuring kitchen equipment remains clean, organized, and that food temperatures comply with regulations. Prepare nourishing meals and snacks using non-processed foods while following the provided menu to meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences. Clean and properly store dishes after every meal, report any equipment malfunctions to the Culinary Lead, and contact the Lead or Resident Services Manager for Health Department inspections. Report shortages of snacks or ingredients immediately. This role may require early morning or evening hours and extra shifts for special occasions. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as a Cook
- Must be able to write, speak, and read in English
- Food Handlers or Serv Safe certification
- Experience with food preparation and nutrition
Desired Qualifications
- Cook/Dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care home or other related medical facility
