Job Summary
Cook handles meal preparation and service for clients and staff in a behavioral health setting under the supervision of the Kitchen supervisor. Duties include daily kitchen cleanup, stocking snacks, maintaining food temperatures and inventory, performing deep cleaning at scheduled intervals, checking in orders, and ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2-3 years of food service experience (preferably in healthcare/institutional environments), a current Food Handlers Card, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand for long periods, perform tasks with attention to safety, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must work full-time in Vancouver, WA with opportunities for benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years experience in the food services industry preferred; preferably in an institutional or healthcare environment
- Current Food Handlers Card
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Great attendance
