Job Summary
Prepare and direct cooking of patient meals according to authorized menus, ensuring sanitation and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Label, date, and store leftovers; maintain equipment and work areas; log temperatures; and enforce safety hazards in food service areas. Check trays for correct flavor and temperature; maintain portion control; and assist in recipe standardization. Prepare special snacks and supplements for specific patients. Orient new staff on policies and assist in training. Review Cantex Continuing Care Network Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current state Food Manager Certificate
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in quality food preparation and production in either long-term care or healthcare setting
