Job Summary

Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Follow recipe cards and production/portion standards; start items prepared ahead of time without overpreparing; date and rotate perishables per Graham Hotel System’s standards; check pars for shift use and assist in keeping buffet stocked. Return unused items to storage, assist in addressing food cost issues and waste reduction, and operate/k ee p and clean kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill). Interact with guests to provide personalized service and a memorable dining experience; perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers
  • Finger/hand dexterity in order to operate food machinery
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
