Job Summary
Cook role at Oceanside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rockport, MA. Responsibilities include coordinating menus and directing the training of cooks and other kitchen workers, preparing meals and serving food to a high standard of quality and appearance, managing cost containment, inventory, and ordering, maintaining kitchen and dining room sanitation per County and State requirements, hiring/training/supervising dietary department staff, and collaborating with the Registered Dietitian to meet clinical health requirements for residents.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Successful completion of a formal culinary training program
- Experience in-line cooking for 3 plus years in medium to high volume restaurant (100 plus people) and 3 plus years supervising a minimum of 5 employees.
