Job Summary
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking orders for daily operations, controlling food usage to minimize waste, advising supervisors of low inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen, demonstrate knowledge of cooking techniques, and communicate effectively with team members. Physical demands include lifting up to 75 pounds and performing various tasks in a busy environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking on a fast paced kitchen line
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Basic math skills including percentages and quantities
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
