Job Summary
The Cook will assist in the efficient operations of the kitchen, ensuring consistent, high-quality food products and exceptional guest dining experiences. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, and adhering to health and safety standards. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to quality service. A high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Secondary School Diploma preferred
- Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
- Demonstrated commitment and passion for maximizing guest satisfaction through quality food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and consistency are critical
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail in food handling safety, food preparation, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team environment
- Ability to follow direction and take supervision regarding multiple kitchen and food preparation duties
- Ability to safely use a variety of kitchen knives and equipment
- Ability to learn and perform basic kitchen tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to quality, hospitality, and maintaining professional composure during busy service periods
- Must be able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Public Health Food Handler Certification considered an asset
