Job Summary
Cook responsible for the preparation and cooking of food as requested for restaurant dining room, customer pick-up, delivery, and catering, while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, replenishing stock, ensuring correct food handling and expiration labeling, following SOPs, acquiring and maintaining a current food handling permit (ServSafe as directed), operating kitchen equipment safely, coordinating with management and coworkers to provide exceptional customer service, and addressing customer concerns to ensure guest satisfaction. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and maintain professional relationships with staff, vendors, and the public; willingness to participate in trainings and adhere to attendance and punctuality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalence
- 1-2 years’ work experience as a Restaurant Cook
- Demonstrated knowledge of Food and Beverage services handling practices and food handling safety training, and possession and maintenance of current food handling permit, obtaining ServSafe Certification as directed
- Demonstrated knowledge of Kitchen-related operations and the ability to safely operate industrial kitchen machinery, stoves, grills, ovens, etc.
