Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residential adolescents while accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen by following food safety protocols, monitoring temperatures, and rotating inventory using FIFO practices. Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack preparation under the supervision of the Head Chef, ensuring timely service and proper portion control. Work collaboratively with the treatment team to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries with clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, commercial kitchens, healthcare, or residential settings
- Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain after hire)
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
