Cook

Cook needed in Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center's dietary department to prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Responsibilities include following pre-planned cycle menus, performing assigned food preparation tasks, reading production orders on tray cards, ensuring high-quality taste and flavor, assisting in planning cooking schedules, maintaining food storage and preparation standards, checking food supplies on order forms, pushing carts to halls or kitchen, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness. Requires knowledge of food preparation and sanitation, ability to operate kitchen equipment, interpersonal skills, and the physical capability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds). Current Food Handlers card is required (or ability to obtain one). Preferred: prior cooking experience in a skilled nursing environment.
