Job Summary
Join NHC HealthCare McMinnville as a Cook, responsible for the production and service of patient meals from 5am to 1pm. Candidates must show a sincere interest in food service, possess or be willing to learn cooking skills, and understand therapeutic diets. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential. Compliance with sanitation procedures, ability to follow instructions, and the capability to read recipes are required. This role may necessitate obtaining a Food Handlers Certificate as per state regulations.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to learn food preparation and cooking skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diet information
- Ability to read and interpret standardized recipes
- Knowledge of correct sanitation procedures
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to read and understand labels on chemicals and MSDS sheets
- Good mental and physical condition
- Cooperatively work with all partners in dietary and departments
- Willingness to fulfill responsibilities and punctuality
- Ability to work under supervision
- Possession or willingness to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate or Sanitation Course
