Job Summary
The Cook at Miller Tavern & Beer Garden is responsible for preparing and cooking food orders, controlling food usage to minimize waste, and maintaining sanitation standards in the kitchen. Key responsibilities include advising supervisors on inventory, restocking items, and promoting teamwork through daily communication. Candidates should have at least one year of cooking experience, basic cooking knowledge, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year experience of cooking on a fast paced kitchen line and food preparation experience
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation
- Communication skills for interaction with staff
- Reading and writing abilities for meal preparation and inventory monitoring
- Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
Desired Qualifications
- Culinary certified training preferred

- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
