Job Summary
Serve as a team lead while assisting with the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of a variety of food items, including meats, vegetables, soups, and breakfast dishes. Receive ingredients from the main kitchen and pantry, review production schedules to determine quantities, and prepare a wide range of food items using standardized recipes. Monitor food quality throughout preparation to ensure taste, appearance, and consistency standards are met, while maintaining cleanliness of work areas and utensils. Complete production sheets, track inventory levels, and assist with ordering and stocking supplies. Identify and address issues with food quality or equipment, and prepare special diets in accordance with prescribed dietary guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5-7 years experience working as a cook
- ServSafe license

- Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies
- Skill in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked goods
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, presentation methods, and quality standards

- Ability to receive, inspect, and manage incoming goods and supplies
- Knowledge of inventory control, supply ordering, and stock management
