Job Summary
Cook responsible for ramen-focused kitchen operations, preparing dishes according to the menu, setting up workstations with needed ingredients and equipment, and delivering well-presented meals. Duties include food preparation, labeling and stocking ingredients, maintaining sanitation, monitoring ingredient quality and inventory, assisting with stock replenishment, and collaborating with kitchen/management staff to ensure timely delivery and compliance with health regulations. The role requires knife skills, knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, baking, boiling), multitasking, teamwork, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as cook; Restaurant Experience: 2 years (Required)
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling)
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent physical condition and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
- Ramen preparation and Japanese restaurant experience are a plus
