Job Summary
As a Cook at Luby's, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment while acquiring culinary skills. Responsibilities include receiving and stocking inventory, preparing, cooking and assembling orders, keeping the kitchen organized, and maintaining food safety and quality standards. Positions offered include Range Cook, Grill Cook, Fry Cook, Butcher, Salad and Vegetable Prep, and Pastry Prep. Training will be provided, and opportunities for advancement to roles such as Certified Trainer and Shift Leader are available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience is preferred but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Good organizational skills
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
- Team player
- Certification on specific equipment required after hiring
