Job Summary
Cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, portioning, and service of meals in accordance with approved menus, therapeutic diets, food safety standards, and resident preferences. The role focuses on delivering a positive dining experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and client expectations, including following standardized recipes, meal schedules, production sheets, and diet requirements; monitoring quality, appearance, taste, and temperature; maintaining proper portion control; assisting with special events and resident-centered dining; promoting resident satisfaction and professional interactions; adhering to food safety, infection prevention, labeling, dating, FIFO, and sanitation practices; supporting inventory, ordering, and minimizing waste; collaborating with dietary aides, servers, housekeeping, nursing staff, and leadership; participating in training and safety programs; and complying with PPE and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Food Safe Certification required.
