Job Summary
Cook prepares and serves meals for patients in a post-acute care facility, following Life Care standards and applicable laws. Responsibilities include preparing and serving appetizing meals, understanding ordered diets and food consistency, utilizing production tools and recipes, providing excellent patient-focused service, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies and Code of Conduct. Essential duties include ensuring food and supplies for subsequent meals, maintaining safety and sanitation, and supporting patient rights and safety throughout service. This role requires the ability to read, write, and communicate in English and to sit/stand/move as needed during shifts; typically a full-time position with a daytime-to-evening shift.
