Job Summary
Cook prepares and serves meals for patients in accordance with Life Care standards and applicable laws; responsibilities include preparing appetizing meals, understanding ordered diets and food consistency, ensuring availability of meals and supplies, delivering timely service, following recipes and production tools, displaying excellent customer service, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining attendance and professionalism, and upholding safety, sanitation, patient rights, and confidentiality. The role requires ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and adherence to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and compliance training.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in food preparation preferred
- Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities
