Job Summary
The Cook prepares and serves meals for patients in a post-acute care facility in accordance with Life Care standards and applicable laws. Responsibilities include preparing meals, understanding ordered diets and food consistency, ensuring timely service, using production tools and recipes, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining safety and sanitation, upholding confidentiality and company policies, and displaying integrity and professionalism. Requires ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and to stand/walk/perform physical tasks as needed. Postsecondary honors include adherence to quality, customer service, and compliance training, with focus on patient rights and safety, etc.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in food preparation preferred
- Experience in preparing and cooking food in large quantities
