Job Summary
Cook Lead oversees the culinary preparation, production, and delivery of high-quality meals for clients as assigned. Responsibilities include mentoring cooks and kitchen staff, designing creative menu items that meet nutritional specifications and client needs, preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes with consistent quality, training staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols, maintaining health and sanitation standards, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, and reading/executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). The role requires flexibility to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Culinary degree or certification preferred
- 4 to 6 years’ experience preparing and presenting the high-quality menu items for VIP clientele
- Demonstrated knowledge, application and adherence to food safety protocols and requirements
- Demonstrated ability in all cooking techniques: grilling, roasting, sautéing, frying, braising, poaching, and steaming.
