Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines for residents; monitor inventory and place orders as needed; follow standardized recipes and portion control; ensure appropriate temperatures for safety and quality; maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation per health department regulations; assist with menu planning and recipe development; collaborate with Dietary Managers, Nutritionists, and Dietary Aides to coordinate meal service and address resident concerns; adhere to infection control and safety protocols; participate in training to enhance culinary skills and food safety knowledge; perform other duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen is required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and dietary guidelines
