Job Summary
Cook role responsible for preparing high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff in accordance with approved menus, dietary guidelines, and sanitation standards. Reports to the Sous Chef and Culinary Director; works to ensure proper portion control, temperature management, and food presentation, while accommodating special diets and physician-ordered meal requirements. Maintains safety and sanitation, coordinates with dietary staff and servers, supports kitchen operations under culinary leadership, and participates in inspections and documentation. Requires strong teamwork, ability to follow recipes and instructions, and flexibility to support events and tours. The position is Full Time and located in Santee, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or older
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment (preferred)
- Food Handler or Food Protection Manager certification (as required by state/local regulations)
