Job Summary
Coordinate the Community's food ordering, preparation, and delivery while ensuring meals are prepared in a nutritional and appetizing fashion. Maintain kitchen supplies and equipment, uphold sanitation standards, and provide excellent customer service to residents, families, staff, and vendors. Work closely with the Dining Services Manager to manage daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with state regulations and health requirements. This role offers opportunities to work with some of the best residents in the industry within a culture dedicated to integrity, joy, and respect.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete training as required by State regulations.
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
- Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
Desired Qualifications
- Six (6) months' prior experience in a food service department preferred.
- Supervisory experience desirable.
- Previous experience working with the elderly.
