Job Summary
Prepare all patient and cafeteria food items per standard recipes and maintain food quality standards following safety guidelines. Participate in quality improvement initiatives (taste panels, test trays), manage inventory and portion control, ensure recipe compliance, and assist in planning menu changes and specials to support patient/customer satisfaction. Regular attendance required. Demonstrate knowledge of institutional cooking, basic food safety techniques, ordering/inventory principles, HACCP, and lead staff in the absence of a supervisor. Leftovers must be utilized safely and creatively. Performs duties in Omaha, NE locations consistent with an in-house cafeteria/kitchen role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D Preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in food service, food preparation, or related field Required
- Food Handlers Card (ANSI-accredited only) within 90 Days Required
