Job Summary
Cook role at Elior within Richard Rose Morton Academy, delivering fresh, nutritious meals for students during term-time with a Monday–Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm schedule (28.75 hours/week). Responsibilities include creating high-quality meals that support student wellbeing and energy, maintaining food safety, hygiene and portioning standards, leading by example, and supporting the wider team. Requires proven catering experience in a fast-paced environment, strong time-management and organisational skills, knowledge of food safety and compliance standards, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach. DBS check (Enhanced) including Children's Barred List and two suitable references are required. Salary: £14.34 per hour (£17,975.65 per annum). Location: Carlisle, England, UK (in-person). Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced catering operation
- A genuine passion for producing nutritious, great tasting food
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Solid knowledge of food hygiene, safety and compliance standards
- A positive, team focussed approach
