Job Summary
Cook needed for Summit's correctional division in Farmington, UT. Responsibilities include quality and portion control, food preparation, creative food presentation, maintaining the kitchen, proper food storage, and following safe food handling policies and recipes. Must have at least 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch-cooking environment, strong knowledge of culinary methods and standards, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, ability to operate kitchen equipment, and customer service experience. Nice-to-haves include food handlers’ certification. Compensation is $19.00 per hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and other listed programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking
- Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools and differentiate food items
- Customer service experience
