Job Summary
Cook needed in healthcare foodservice at Phoebe Berks in Wernersville, PA. You will work with an energetic kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment to prepare and serve high-quality meals, manage quality and portion control, food preparation, creative presentation, proper storage, and follow safe food handling policies and recipes. Must-have include at least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch-cooking setting, strong culinary techniques and standards, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and comfort with diverse kitchen equipment; customer service experience is required. Nice-to-have: food handlers’ certification. This is a full-time, onsite Cook role with Cura Hospitality/Elior North America in the healthcare segment.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year prior culinary experience in a quality/high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools and identify/differentiate food items
- Customer service experience required
- Nice-to-haves: Food handlers’ certification
