Job Summary
Back of the House Line Employee responsibilities include setup across multiple stations (vegetable, fruit, salad bar, front/back line, meat slicer, catering, bread prep, recipe/person, project person, bus/dish set-up) and performing shift positions (sandwich maker, expeditor, end person, drink person, back line maker, to-go expeditor, salad bar stocker, food runner, bus, dishwasher). The role supports advancement opportunities and offers benefits for full-time employees; requires ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen, learn routines, and communicate effectively while complying with health regulations and dress code.
Required Qualifications
- Education: It is preferred the applicant be enrolled in high school or a certified G.E.D. program or have their high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience: unless currently attending high school, college, or a technical or vocation school, qualified applicants preferred to have at least six months work experience.
- Skills: able to learn basic job routines and communicate effectively.
- Health: an applicant who is infected with a communicable disease which is transmissible to the public through handling of food will not be considered; must comply with city health regulations and Jason's Deli dress code policies.
- Physical Standards: ability to stand and exert mobility in a fast-paced environment for up to six hours; ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly; ability to operate kitchen equipment.
