Cook

Cook responsible for preparing wholesome, nutritious, and attractive meals served at appropriate temperatures; works under the Dining Services Director and as part of the kitchen team. Duties include using recipes and proper portion sizes, monitoring and recording food temperatures, labeling and storing foods, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, monitoring inventory and waste, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and assisting with general kitchen duties. Must have high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of cooking experience (preferably in healthcare or hospitality). Serv-Safe certification is preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to read/write/speak English, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds are required. Completion of drug screening and background checks may be requested. On-site, full-time role in Pittsburgh, PA.
