Job Summary
Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions while overseeing food cost and portion control. Creatively accommodate special requests from guests and ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate, and meet presentation standards. Assist with quality, cleanliness, organization of the restaurant and kitchen, plus inventory, ordering, and receiving of all food and beverage items. Maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area. Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments. This role requires previous food handling or prep/line experience, a Food Handler's Permit, and the ability to stand, move, and lift at least 25 pounds throughout a shift. Applicants must have a flexible schedule to work morning, evening, and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Previous food handling or prep/line experience
- Some locations may require prior cook experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, type and use basic technology
- Ability to stand and move around for an entire shift
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Food Handler's Permit
