Job Summary

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, production schedules, and kitchen standards while ensuring quality, portion control, and consistency. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by following all food safety, workplace health standards, and sanitation regulations. Assist with receiving, tracking, and transport coordination of donated goods, including pickup logistics and inventory management for proper storage. Monitor food supplies and notify management of inventory needs in a timely manner. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to support smooth daily operations and meet meal production goals. This mission-driven nonprofit in Washington, D.C. works to end chronic homelessness through high-quality meals and holistic support services.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds
  • Must be available to work holidays that fall on weekdays
