Job Summary
Cook II position responsible for primary food production under direction, preparing food in quantity for Dining Services, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring sanitation, food safety, and proper cooking procedures. Requires ability to handle multiple priorities, strong English communication, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and collaboration with team. Requires HS diploma or GED and two years of high-volume production experience; safe food handler certification preferred or obtained within one year of hire. Full-time schedule Sunday–Saturday, 6:00am–3:30pm with rotating weekends; pay grade 2, hourly $17.75–$19.50. Located on UR Main Campus near Richmond, VA.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Two years’ experience in high volume production in hotel, restaurant, or college foodservice
- Safe food handler certification preferred, or certification obtained within one year of hire
