Job Summary

Prepare and cook all food products, including soups, sauces, hot entrees, pastas, and vegetables, in quantities dictated by business volume. Assist with banquet, employee meal, and special function service, while maintaining buffet up-keep and providing attentive, cheerful, professional customer service. Maintain consistent product presentation through portion control, fresh garnishes, and strict recipe adherence. Consult supervisors on daily prep lists, clean and restock workstations, and prepare specific items like cocktail and tartar sauces. Monitor food temperatures hourly, log information, and notify management of issues. Rotate food products, check backups, and ensure all equipment meets water and temperature standards. Adhere to safe food handling procedures, attend mandatory trainings, and maintain high sanitation levels throughout the shift.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have previous food and beverage preparation experience in a high-volume operation
  • Sanitation Certificate required within 6 months of hire
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisory personnel, coworkers and the general public
  • Must be neat in appearance
  • Must be friendly and polite
  • Must have a positive attitude
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work extended hours when needed

Desired Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in quantity cooking preferred
  • Native American preferred
