Job Summary
Prepare high-quality food items in a timely, consistent manner by following established recipes, production standards, and sanitation guidelines. Operate multiple kitchen stations including grilling, frying, and guest-facing service while ensuring proper cooking methods, food presentation, and portion control. Maintain clean, organized work areas, monitor stock levels, assist with special orders, and prepare for high-volume periods. Uphold all regulatory, departmental, and company policies while delivering excellent service to guests and fellow associates. This role supports efficient kitchen operations across various departments including Banquet, Gordon Ramsay, and The Smokehouse Coop.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ninety days Cook I experience or one-year cooking experience outside casino
- Strong guest service, communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and work closely with others while remaining adaptable, eager to learn, and receptive to direction
- Professional appearance with high personal hygiene standards
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel
- Extremely detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and desire for continued growth
- Able to remain mobile throughout the casino
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Able to perform frequent physical movements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to push and pull up to 300 pounds in a cart
- Able to tolerate extreme heat or cold temperatures
- Have the dexterity to use knives and other hand-held instruments
- Able to use food preparation equipment
- Able to respond to visual and auditory cues
- Effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Able to communicate clearly in English
- Able to follow instructions accurately
- Comfortable working amid varying noise, temperature, lighting, crowds, and air quality (including secondhand smoke)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
