Job Summary
Seasonal Cook II—Garde Manger responsible for accurately preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting hot and cold items across various service styles (à la carte, banquet/catering, buffet) per recipes and SOPs, under supervision of room chef/sous chef/manager. Duties include executing tasks at a high standard, supporting Cook 3 and kitchen runner, handling multiple cooking techniques (deep frying, marking/searing, cooking proteins to well-done), maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to health and safety policies; benefits include training, a free meal on shift, and a pay rate of $23.58/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 years’ experience in a high-volume kitchen
- English language comprehension
- Intermediate cooking methods and equipment skills are preferred (deep frying, marking, searing, burgers/chicken cooked well-done; use of open flame burners/grills, fryers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, blenders, robot coupes, burr mixers)
- Successfully pass with a score of 80% a practical cooking test
