Job Summary
Prepare and cook bulk food products and buffet items according to company specifications, reading order slips and managing multiple simultaneous orders. Wash, cut, and prepare ingredients while maintaining sanitation and health standards in work areas. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and griddles, coordinating activities with managers based on daily menus. Ensure food quality and quantity meet standards with short preparation times. High School Diploma or GED required with minimum one year of cooking experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
- Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
- Self-directed with strong initiative
- General knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
