Job Summary
Plan, prep, and produce dessert menu items, centerpieces, and amenity orders for Restaurants, Room Service, and Banquets following recipes and yield guides. Direct, train, and monitor Line Cooks while maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of all work areas and equipment. Anticipate guest needs, resolve complaints, and provide accurate responses to inquiries regarding hotel services and local attractions. Complete opening and closing duties including mise en place, inventory checks, product rotation, and equipment shutdown. Assist the Baker, Stewards, and Chef on duty with plating, specials, and production adjustments as assigned. Maintain strict compliance with State sanitation regulations and hotel standards while minimizing waste and controlling food costs.
Required Qualifications

- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data
- Ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system
- Previous guest relations training
- Previously worked with all products and ingredients involved
- Artistic talent
- Exert physical effort in transporting (50 pounds)
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Remain in stationary position for 4 to 6 hours throughout work shift
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
- 5 years' experience as a Line Cook at a quality style Hotel or Restaurant
- Food handlers certificate
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship
